I saw a sneak preview of RENT last night. It was sponsored by Glamour magazine. It was very good. A few strange things about the experience: #1 my purse got searched and was told that if I take my phone out of it at any time it would be taken away (are we in elementary school?) #2 they used a metal detector wand on everyone that entered the theatre #3 a creepy movie employee watched over the whole theatre with night vision goggles. All this precaution was to make sure someone didn’t bootleg a copy of the movie! And I guarantee they are already selling them in China Town as I type this. But we did get a Glamour goodie bag when we left. Yippee for a free movie, yummy popcorn and a free goodie bag!

The movie was good, very heavy at times, but still enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it if you like musicals. I’m going to be singing this song in my head for weeks now…………
