Laundry Detergent

I found a recipe for making my own laundry detergent several months ago and finally found the time to actually make it. The ingredients are: bar of soap, water, washing soda & borax. The recipe makes a TON (I halfed it with Angie). Regular bottle of detergent (96 loads) costs $28.99 or .30 cents a load and the homemade kind comes out to about .3 cents a load. Who wouldn't love to save a quarter every time you did a load of laundry? So I made it. It was easy and kinda fun to make a big bucklet of slime and save money. If you want the recipe let me know.

Here is what the washing soda and borax look like

And hey, it's eco-friendly...cause no extra plastic bottles, go me! Living great in '08, isn't that right, Les?
