For my Texas friends, here is a friendly reminder to be sure and VOTE today!
Does anyone have any funny voting stories to tell? If so PLEASE share. Here is mine. So I got up bright and early so that I could vote before heading to work. Well it's cold here, I mean we had sleet & ice & snow last night and my poor car has to sit out in the elements. So there I am at 7:20 scraping ice off my windshield. So I get to my polling place and walk in in gloves and I totally got made fun of. One of the "official voting judges" said, "now is it REALLY cold enough for gloves?" I replied, YES! Then I was given the option of electronic or paper ballot and since scantrons & #2 pencils remind me of school, and the thought gives me hives, I went with the electronic option. So I'm voting via the nifty touch screen and the next voter comes in and he opts for the electronic version as well, and they inform him he's going to have to wait till I'm finished. They only have ONE machine. Boy, it's going to be a long evening if everyone has to share one machine! Glad I can mark that task off the to-do list. Happy Voting!
