Hitt Parade 2008

This past weekend we had a family reunion on my maternal grandfathers side, the Hitt side. My Gammy was a Hitt. Gammy has been gone for many years, she passed right before my 16 birthday. Gammy was SUCH a fun lady and one of the most creative people I've ever known. She was a fabulous seamstress and made all of our drapes, bedding, and even our clothes. She made my 8th grade Spring dance dress! She was SO much fun, the best baby-sitter, not at all the typical great-grandmother. We used to play "hide the thimble" and sorority house, she was always the house mother! (Don't laugh, I grew up in the Facts of Life era) So in honor of Gammy, her brother Ralph and sister Fran, who are also deceased....their children and grandchildren all had a great time catching up, talking, laughing and remembering all the great memories we have.
