What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas

Ok, so I am in the midst of planning a short trip to Vegas and I need help. Anyone that has been and can give advice, give away. . .Please.

I am going with one other girl and we are going to try to do this as inexpensive as we can. I found a deal on Expedia for airfare and to stay at the Mirage for $488 a piece for two nights.
Is that a good deal?????

Should we stay at a not so great hotel, so that we can have more money to go see shows, go to clubs etc? You only are in your room to sleep anyway.

Has anyone been to Rain or Ghost Bar?

Recommend any good shows?
